Install the Unity Hub and Editor

Create a Unity account

If you don’t already have a Unity ID, take a moment to sign up for one by going to ID.Unity.com. Once you submit the form, you will need to confirm your account via a link sent to your email.

Download the Unity Hub

To download the Unity Hub, follow these instructions:

1. Go to the Unity download page.

2. Under the Download the Unity Hub section, select the option for your operating system. A file named UnityHubSetup will begin downloading. This file name might vary depending on the Hub version and your operating system.

Install the Unity Hub and Editor

To install the Unity Hub and Editor, follow these instructions:

1. Locate the UnityHubSetup file you downloaded previously.

2. Launch the UnityHubSetup installer.

3. Follow your platform instructions to install the Unity Hub.

Once you install UnityHubSetup, the Unity Hub will guide you to create a Unity account and install the latest version of the Unity Editor.

If you have successfully installed the latest version of the Unity Editor upon completing this step, you can stop following these instructions now.

Install the Unity Editor without the installation wizard

To install the Unity Editor without the use of the installation wizard, follow these instructions:

1. Navigate to the Unity Hub and, on the left sidebar, navigate to the Installs tab.

2. Select Install Editor.

3. A window will open that gives you several Unity versions to choose from. Select the one designated Recommended version.

4. On the next window that appears, select any modules that you want to include in your install, then select Continue. If you don’t know what modules you will need, you can always download these later.
